A lot of anxious people pour their anxiety before aromatherapy experts and health care professionals through innumerable doubts connected to aromatherapy and pregnancy. It is agreed that there are many changes taking place within the body during pregnancy. Therefore it is a good option to trust only an experienced aromatherapy practitioner who can suggest special essential oils and blends in appropriate doses. Oils like rose, jasmine, sage, etc can be used even at the time of deliver. A qualified aromatherapy practitioner can suggest the blends and aroma required for individual woman based on her specific requirements.

Experts identify certain herbs as having the potential to cause abortions. Herbs like clove, bay leaves, marjoram,basil, clary sage, sage, oregano, etc are not recommended for expecting women. Essential oils also come in a highly concentrated form. They can cause irritation to skin. Aromatherapy during pregnancy involves the use of such oils in a diluted form. Lavender and tea tree are safe to use directly on skin, without diluting. Not every essential oils are of same kind and you need to exercise caution while working with different ones.

Peppermint, lemon, rosewood, etc are recommended aromatherapy oils for pregnant women. Different problems like skin problems, joint pains, muscular cramps, headaches, fatigue, swollen joints, and other common problems associated with pregnancy require specific treatment using a specific essential oil or a combination according to existing conditions.

Aromatherapy during pregnancy can alleviate several ailment prevalent during the period. A knowledgeable aroma-therapist can help a pregnant woman prepare complete a calm gestation period and smooth delivery of her baby. It is also recommendable to consult your physician before starting aromatherapy while pregnancy.

Easing muscular cramps as well as other aches in the muscles can be achieved by using 3 drops of Lavender or 3 drops of Roman Chamomile. Aromatherapy in pregnancy is one way of alleviating many of the ailments prevalent in pregnant women, although it is always advisable to consult your physician before beginning any such regimen.
